<title>經集</title> # north 經ᅟ集 6.色逼亞經 (5/20/2024初稿 ) # nikaya 6.色逼亞經 ᅟᅟ[[note0#001|被我這麼聽聞]]: ᅟᅟ[[note0#002|有一次]],[[note0#012|世尊]]住在王舍城栗鼠飼養處的竹林中。當時,諸問題被與遊行者色逼亞以前有血緣的天神指示:「色逼亞!凡被你問這些問題,沙門或婆羅門解答,你應該在他的面前行[[note3#381|梵行]]。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞在那位天神的面前把握那些問題後,凡那些有團體的、有群眾的、群眾的老師、有名聲的知名開宗祖師、被眾人認定善的沙門、婆羅門,即:富蘭那迦葉、末迦利瞿舍羅、阿夷多翅舍欽婆羅、浮陀迦旃延、散惹耶毘羅梨子、尼乾陀若提子,去見他門後問那些問題。被色逼亞問諸問題,他們不解答,當他們不解答時顯露憤怒、瞋恚、不滿,進一步甚至反問遊行者色逼亞。 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞想這個:「凡那些有團體的、有群眾的、群眾的老師、有名聲的知名開宗祖師、被眾人認定善的沙門、婆羅門,即:富蘭那迦葉……(中略)尼乾陀若提子,被我問諸問題,他們不解答,當他們不解答時顯露憤怒、瞋恚、不滿,進一步甚至在這種情況下反問我,讓我還俗後受用諸欲。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞想這個:「這位沙門[[note0#080|喬達摩]]也是有團體的,同時也有群眾的、群眾的老師、有名聲的知名開宗祖師、被眾人認定善的,讓我去見沙門喬達摩後,問這些問題。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞想這個:「凡即使那些年老的、年長的、很老的、晚年的、到達老年的、被長久認可的、長久出家的[[note1#135|上座]]、有團體的、有群眾的、群眾的老師、有名聲的知名開宗祖師、被眾人認定善的沙門、婆羅門,即:富蘭那迦葉……(中略)尼乾陀若提子,被我問諸問題,他們都不解答,當他們不解答時顯露憤怒、瞋恚、不滿,進一步甚至在這種情況下反問我,更何況被我問諸問題,沙門喬達摩將會回答!因為沙門喬達摩是以出生為年輕者,同時也以出家為新者。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞想這個:「『年輕的沙門不應該被輕侮、不應該被輕蔑,而這位年輕的沙門喬達摩也是大神通力者、大威力者,讓我去見沙門喬達摩後,問這些問題。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞往王舍城出發[[note0#061|遊行]],次第進行遊行地往王舍城栗鼠飼養處的竹林,去見世尊。抵達後,與世尊一起互相問候。交換應該被互相問候的友好交談後,在一旁坐下。在一旁坐下的遊行者色逼亞[[note2#281|以偈頌]]對世尊說: ᅟᅟ515.(像這樣色逼亞:) ᅟᅟ有疑惑的、有懷疑的我到來,期待地問諸問題, ᅟᅟ請你對被我問的問題成為它們的作終結者,請你為我次第地如法解說。 ᅟᅟ516.(像這樣世尊:) ᅟ「色逼亞!你從遠處來,期待地問諸問題, ᅟᅟ我要對被你問的問題成為它們的作終結者,我要為你次第地如法解說。 ᅟᅟ517. ᅟᅟ色逼亞!請你問我問題:凡任何你在心(意)中想要, ᅟᅟ就對一一那個問題,我為你作終結。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞想這個:「實在不可思議啊,[[note2#202|先生]]!實在[[note2#206|未曾有]]啊,先生!凡確實我在其他沙門婆羅門處連允許程度也沒得到,它被這位沙門對我作允許。」悅意地、完全喜悅地、踊躍地、喜與喜悅生起地問世尊問題。 ᅟᅟ518. ᅟᅟ他們說什麼的達到為比丘,他們說以什麼成為柔和者以及如何成為調御者, ᅟᅟ如何被說為「覺者(佛陀)」,世尊!請你為我解說所問的。 ᅟᅟ519.(世尊:「色逼亞!」) ᅟ「以被自己實踐(作)的路,到達般涅槃、度脫疑者, ᅟᅟ捨斷無有與有後,已完成者、再有已滅盡者-他是比丘。[Ni.3, Ni.18, Ni.19] ᅟᅟ520. ᅟᅟ在一切處平靜者、有念者,他不傷害在世間中任何者, ᅟᅟ度脫的、不混濁的沙門,該者沒有增盛-他是柔和者。 ᅟᅟ521. ᅟᅟ該者的諸根已修習:自身內與外-在世間中, ᅟᅟ洞察這個與其他世間後,已修習者等待死亡-他是調御者。[Ni.10, Ni.21] ᅟᅟ522. ᅟᅟ簡別全部的建構[渴愛見-㊟]後:對輪迴-生死兩者, ᅟᅟ對離塵者、無污穢者、清淨者,對到達生滅盡者他們說他是覺者。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞歡喜、隨喜世尊的所說後,悅意地、完全喜悅地、踊躍地、喜與喜悅生起地更進一步問世尊問題: ᅟᅟ523.(像這樣色逼亞:) ᅟᅟ他們說什麼的達到為婆羅門,他們說以什麼成為沙門以及如何成為「沐浴者」, ᅟᅟ如何被說為「龍象」,世尊!請你為我解說所問的。 ᅟᅟ524.(世尊:「色逼亞!」) ᅟ「排除一切惡的後,離垢者、善入定者、自我住立者, ᅟᅟ超越輪迴後那位完成者,無依止者-像這樣者被說他是婆羅門。[Ni.4, Ni.21, Ni.22] ᅟᅟ525. ᅟᅟ寂靜者捨斷福德、惡的後,離塵者知道這個與其他世間後, ᅟᅟ越過生死者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為沙門。 ᅟᅟ526. ᅟᅟ清洗一切惡的後:自身內與外-在世間中, ᅟᅟ在諸天人建構上,不來到建構-他們說他是「沐浴者」。 ᅟᅟ527. ᅟᅟ在世間中不作任何罪行,捨離一切結縛、繫縛後, ᅟᅟ解脫者在一切處不被黏著,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為龍象。」[Ni.9, Ni.21] ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞……(中略)更進一步問世尊問題: ᅟᅟ528.(像這樣色逼亞:) ᅟᅟ諸佛說誰是田地[十二處-㊟]勝利者,以什麼成為善巧者以及如何成為「賢智者」, ᅟᅟ如何被說名為[[note1#125|牟尼]],世尊!請你為我解說所問的。 ᅟᅟ529.(世尊:「色逼亞!」) ᅟ「簡別全部的田地:天人與梵田地後, ᅟᅟ從一切田地根繫縛解脫者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為田地勝利者。 ᅟᅟ530. ᅟᅟ簡別全部的藏庫:天人與梵藏庫後, ᅟᅟ從一切藏庫根本繫縛解脫者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為善巧者。 ᅟᅟ531. ᅟᅟ純淨慧者簡別白的[處-㊟]兩者:自身內與外後, ᅟᅟ越過黑白者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為賢智者。 ᅟᅟ532. ᅟᅟ知道不善的與善的法後:自身內與外-在世間中, ᅟᅟ應該被天人尊敬:超越染著網後他是牟尼。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞……(中略)更進一步問世尊問題: ᅟᅟ533.(像這樣色逼亞:) ᅟᅟ到達什麼他們說通曉吠陀者,以什麼成為隨知者以及如何成為「有活力者」, ᅟᅟ如何名為出生良好者,世尊!請你為我解說所問的。 ᅟᅟ534.(世尊:「色逼亞!」) ᅟ「簡別全部的吠陀後:凡在這裡沙門婆羅門們有, ᅟᅟ在一切受上離貪者,超越一切吠陀後他是通曉吠陀者。[Ni.4, Ni.9, Ni.21] ᅟᅟ535. ᅟᅟ隨知虛妄、名色:自身內與外病根後, ᅟᅟ從一切病根繫縛解脫者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為隨知者。 ᅟᅟ536. ᅟᅟ在這裡從一切惡脫離(戒絕)者,超越地獄苦後他是有活力者, ᅟᅟ那位有活力者、勤奮者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為堅固者。[Ni.28, Ni.29, Ni.36] ᅟᅟ537. ᅟᅟ該者的諸繫縛確實已被切:自身內與外的染著根, ᅟᅟ從一切染著根繫縛解脫者,像這樣者以那樣的狀態被說為出生良好者。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞……(中略)更進一步問世尊問題: ᅟᅟ538.(像這樣色逼亞:) ᅟᅟ到達什麼他們說聞解者,以什麼成為聖者以及如何成為「有德行者」, ᅟᅟ如何名為遊行者,世尊!請你為我解說所問的。 ᅟᅟ539.(世尊:「色逼亞!」) ᅟ「在世間中聽聞一切法後、[[note2#242|證知]]後,凡存在任何有罪過的無罪過的, ᅟᅟ對征服者、無疑惑者、解脫者,對於一切無惱亂者-他們說「聞解者」。 ᅟᅟ540. ᅟᅟ切斷諸[[note1#188|漏]][[note3#391|阿賴耶]]後,那位智者不來到臥胎者, ᅟᅟ驅散三種污泥想[欲等種類三種想-㊟]後,不來到建構-他們說他是「聖者」。 ᅟᅟ541. ᅟᅟ凡在這裡在諸德行上得到利得者,善巧者於一切時了知法, ᅟᅟ心解脫者在一切處不被黏著,該者沒有嫌惡-他是有德行者。 ᅟᅟ542. ᅟᅟ凡有苦果報的業:上、下、橫向又或在中間, ᅟᅟ遍知的行者避開後:對偽詐、慢及貪、憤怒, ᅟᅟ對名色作盡頭,得到利得者-他們說遊行者。」 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞歡喜、隨喜世尊的所說後,悅意地、完全喜悅地、踊躍地、喜與喜悅生起地從座位起來、置(作)上衣到一邊肩膀、向世尊[[note3#377|合掌]]鞠躬後,以適合的偈頌當面稱讚世尊: ᅟᅟ543. ᅟᅟ廣慧者!凡六十三,沙門議論依止的, ᅟᅟ對諸想文字、想依止的,對諸走向外教除去後你離開闇暴流。 ᅟᅟ544. ᅟᅟ你是苦的到達終結者、到達彼岸者,我想你是阿羅漢、遍正覺者、漏已滅盡者, ᅟᅟ有光輝者、有覺慧者、廣慧者,[[note0#054|苦的作終結者]]!請你使我渡越。 ᅟᅟ545. ᅟᅟ你知道凡我的懷疑,你使我渡越疑-對你的禮敬, ᅟᅟ牟尼!在牟那路上得到利得者!不荒蕪者!太陽族人!你是柔和者。 ᅟᅟ546. ᅟᅟ凡我在之前有懷疑,[[note6#629|有眼者]]為我解說它, ᅟᅟ牟尼確實是正覺者,你沒有諸蓋。 ᅟᅟ547. ᅟᅟ而你的一切[[note3#342|絕望]],已碎破、已破壞, ᅟᅟ是成為清涼者、到達調御者,是堅定者、以真實精勤者。 ᅟᅟ548. ᅟᅟ龍象!當那個龍象,大英雄的你說時, ᅟᅟ一切天神隨喜:[包括]那勒達、帕玻德[智慧神-㊟]兩者。 ᅟᅟ549. ᅟᅟ賢駿人!對你的禮敬,最上人!對你的禮敬, ᅟᅟ在包括天的世界中,你沒有比肩者。 ᅟᅟ550. ᅟᅟ你是覺者(佛陀)、你是[[note1#145|大師]],你是魔的征服者、牟尼, ᅟᅟ你切斷諸[[note2#253|煩惱潛在趨勢]]後,已渡過-你使我、人們渡過。 ᅟᅟ551. ᅟᅟ你的[[note1#198|依著]]已越過,你的諸漏已破壞, ᅟᅟ你是獅子、無取著者,恐怖的與可怕的捨斷者。 ᅟᅟ552. ᅟᅟ如可愛的白蓮,在水中不污染, ᅟᅟ像這樣在福德上與在惡的上,在兩者上你不沾染, ᅟᅟ英雄!請你伸出雙腳,色逼亞對大師禮拜。 ᅟᅟ那時,遊行者色逼亞以頭落在世尊的腳上後對世尊說這個:「[[note0#045|大德]]!太偉大了……(中略)這個我[[note2#284|歸依]]世尊、法、[[note0#065|比丘僧團]],大德!願我得到在世尊的面前出家,願我[[note1#124|得到具足戒]]。」 ᅟᅟ「色逼亞!凡先前為其他外道希望在這法律中出家;希望受具足戒,他[[note8#870|別住四個月]]。經四個月後,發心的比丘們使出家;使受具足戒為比丘狀態,但個人差異由我發現。」\[[DN.8](DN08)] ᅟᅟ「大德!如果先前為其他外道希望在這法律中出家者;希望受具足戒者別住四個月。經四個月後,發心的比丘們使之出家;使之受具足戒為比丘狀態,我將別住四年。經四年後,請發心的比丘們使出家;使受具足戒為比丘狀態。」遊行者色逼亞得到在世尊的面前出家、受具足戒……(中略)然後尊者色逼亞成為眾[[note0#005|阿羅漢]]之一。 ᅟᅟ色逼亞經第六終了。 # pali 6. Sabhiyasuttaṃ ᅟᅟEvaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā rājagahe viharati veḷuvane kalandakanivāpe. Tena kho pana samayena sabhiyassa paribbājakassa purāṇasālohitāya devatāya pañhā uddiṭṭhā honti – ‘‘yo te, sabhiya, samaṇo vā brāhmaṇo vā ime pañhe puṭṭho byākaroti tassa santike brahmacariyaṃ careyyāsī’’ti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako tassā devatāya santike te pañhe uggahetvā ye te samaṇabrāhmaṇā saṅghino gaṇino gaṇācariyā ñātā yasassino titthakarā sādhusammatā bahujanassa, seyyathidaṃ – pūraṇo kassapo makkhaligosālo ajito kesakambalo pakudho [kakudho (sī.) pakuddho (syā. kaṃ.)] kaccāno sañcayo [sañjayo (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] belaṭṭhaputto [bellaṭṭhiputto (sī. pī.), veḷaṭṭhaputto (syā.)] nigaṇṭho nāṭaputto [nātaputto (sī. pī.)], te upasaṅkamitvā te pañhe pucchati. Te sabhiyena paribbājakena pañhe puṭṭhā na sampāyanti; asampāyantā kopañca dosañca appaccayañca pātukaronti. Api ca sabhiyaṃ yeva paribbājakaṃ paṭipucchanti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyassa paribbājakassa etadahosi – ‘‘ye kho te bhonto samaṇabrāhmaṇā saṅghino gaṇino gaṇācariyā ñātā yasassino titthakarā sādhusammatā bahujanassa, seyyathidaṃ – pūraṇo kassapo…pe… nigaṇṭho nāṭaputto, te mayā pañhe puṭṭhā na sampāyanti, asampāyantā kopañca dosañca appaccayañca pātukaronti; api ca maññevettha paṭipucchanti. Yannūnnāhaṃ hīnāyāvattitvā kāme paribhuñjeyya’’nti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyassa paribbājakassa etadahosi – ‘‘ayampi kho samaṇo gotamo saṅghī ceva gaṇī ca gaṇācariyo ca ñāto yasassī titthakaro sādhusammato bahujanassa; yaṃnūnāhaṃ samaṇaṃ gotamaṃ upasaṅkamitvā ime pañhe puccheyya’’nti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyassa paribbājakassa etadahosi – ‘‘yepi kho te [ye kho te (syā.), yaṃ kho te (ka.)] bhonto samaṇabrāhmaṇā jiṇṇā vuḍḍhā mahallakā addhagatā vayoanuppattā therā rattaññū cirapabbajitā saṅghino gaṇino gaṇācariyā ñātā yasassino titthakarā sādhusammatā bahujanassa, seyyathidaṃ – pūraṇo kassapo…pe. … nigaṇṭho nāṭaputto, tepi mayā pañhe puṭṭhā na sampāyanti, asampāyantā kopañca dosañca appaccayañca pātukaronti, api ca maññevettha paṭipucchanti; kiṃ pana me samaṇo gotamo ime pañhe puṭṭho byākarissati! Samaṇo hi gotamo daharo ceva jātiyā, navo ca pabbajjāyā’’ti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyassa paribbājakassa etadahosi – ‘‘samaṇo kho [samaṇo kho gotamo (syā. ka.)] daharoti na uññātabbo na paribhotabbo. Daharopi cesa samaṇo gotamo mahiddhiko hoti mahānubhāvo, yaṃnūnāhaṃ samaṇaṃ gotamaṃ upasaṅkamitvā ime pañhe puccheyya’’nti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako yena rājagahaṃ tena cārikaṃ pakkāmi. Anupubbena cārikaṃ caramāno yena rājagahaṃ veḷuvanaṃ kalandakanivāpo, yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavatā saddhiṃ sammodi. Sammodanīyaṃ kathaṃ sāraṇīyaṃ vītisāretvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho sabhiyo paribbājako bhagavantaṃ gāthāya ajjhabhāsi – ᅟᅟ515. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kaṅkhī vecikicchī āgamaṃ, (iti sabhiyo) ᅟᅟPañhe pucchituṃ abhikaṅkhamāno; ᅟᅟTesantakaro bhavāhi [bhavāhi me (pī. ka.)] pañhe me puṭṭho, ᅟᅟAnupubbaṃ anudhammaṃ byākarohi me’’. ᅟᅟ516. ᅟᅟ‘‘Dūrato āgatosi sabhiya, (iti bhagavā) ᅟᅟPañhe pucchituṃ abhikaṅkhamāno; ᅟᅟTesantakaro bhavāmi [tesamantakaromi te (ka.)] pañhe te puṭṭho, ᅟᅟAnupubbaṃ anudhammaṃ byākaromi te. ᅟᅟ517. ᅟᅟ‘‘Puccha maṃ sabhiya pañhaṃ, yaṃ kiñci manasicchasi; ᅟᅟTassa tasseva pañhassa, ahaṃ antaṃ karomi te’’ti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyassa paribbājakassa etadahosi – ‘‘acchariyaṃ vata, bho, abbhutaṃ vata, bho! Yaṃ vatāhaṃ aññesu samaṇabrāhmaṇesu okāsakammamattampi [okāsamattampi (sī. pī.)] nālatthaṃ taṃ me idaṃ samaṇena gotamena okāsakammaṃ kata’’nti. Attamano pamudito udaggo pītisomanassajāto bhagavantaṃ pañhaṃ apucchi – ᅟᅟ518. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kiṃ pattinamāhu bhikkhunaṃ, (iti sabhiyo) ᅟᅟSorataṃ kena kathañca dantamāhu; ᅟᅟBuddhoti kathaṃ pavuccati, ᅟᅟPuṭṭho me bhagavā byākarohi’’. ᅟᅟ519. ᅟᅟ‘‘Pajjena katena attanā, (sabhiyāti bhagavā) ᅟᅟParinibbānagato vitiṇṇakaṅkho; ᅟᅟVibhavañca bhavañca vippahāya, ᅟᅟVusitavā khīṇapunabbhavo sa bhikkhu. ᅟᅟ520. ᅟᅟ‘‘Sabbattha upekkhako satimā, na so hiṃsati kañci sabbaloke; ᅟᅟTiṇṇo samaṇo anāvilo, ussadā yassa na santi sorato so. ᅟᅟ521. ᅟᅟ‘‘Yassindriyāni bhāvitāni, ajjhattaṃ bahiddhā ca sabbaloke; ᅟᅟNibbijjha imaṃ parañca lokaṃ, kālaṃ kaṅkhati bhāvito sa danto. ᅟᅟ522. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kappāni viceyya kevalāni, saṃsāraṃ dubhayaṃ cutūpapātaṃ; ᅟᅟVigatarajamanaṅgaṇaṃ visuddhaṃ, pattaṃ jātikhayaṃ tamāhu buddha’’nti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako bhagavato bhāsitaṃ abhinanditvā anumoditvā attamano pamudito udaggo pītisomanassajāto bhagavantaṃ uttariṃ [uttari (ka.)] pañhaṃ apucchi – ᅟᅟ523. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kiṃ pattinamāhu brāhmaṇaṃ, (iti sabhiyo) ᅟᅟSamaṇaṃ kena kathañca nhātakoti; ᅟᅟNāgoti kathaṃ pavuccati, ᅟᅟPuṭṭho me bhagavā byākarohi’’. ᅟᅟ524. ᅟᅟ‘‘Bāhitvā sabbapāpakāni, (sabhiyāti bhagavā) ᅟᅟVimalo sādhusamāhito ṭhitatto; ᅟᅟSaṃsāramaticca kevalī so, ᅟᅟAsito tādi pavuccate sa brahmā. ᅟᅟ525. ᅟᅟ‘‘Samitāvi pahāya puññapāpaṃ, virajo ñatvā imaṃ parañca lokaṃ; ᅟᅟJātimaraṇaṃ upātivatto, samaṇo tādi pavuccate tathattā. ᅟᅟ526. ᅟᅟ‘‘Ninhāya [ninahāya (syā.)] sabbapāpakāni, ajjhattaṃ bahiddhā ca sabbaloke; ᅟᅟDevamanussesu kappiyesu, kappaṃ neti tamāhu nhātako’’ti. ᅟᅟ527. ᅟᅟ‘‘Āguṃ na karoti kiñci loke, sabbasaṃyoge [sabbayoge (ka.)] visajja bandhanāni; ᅟᅟSabbattha na sajjatī vimutto, nāgo tādi pavuccate tathattā’’ti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako…pe… bhagavantaṃ uttariṃ pañhaṃ apucchi – ᅟᅟ528. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kaṃ khettajinaṃ vadanti buddhā, (iti sabhiyo) ᅟᅟKusalaṃ kena kathañca paṇḍitoti; ᅟᅟMuni nāma kathaṃ pavuccati, ᅟᅟPuṭṭho me bhagavā byākarohi’’. ᅟᅟ529. ᅟᅟ‘‘Khettāni viceyya kevalāni, (sabhiyāti bhagavā) ᅟᅟDibbaṃ mānusakañca brahmakhettaṃ; ᅟᅟSabbakhettamūlabandhanā pamutto, ᅟᅟKhettajino tādi pavuccate tathattā. ᅟᅟ530. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kosāni viceyya kevalāni, dibbaṃ mānusakañca brahmakosaṃ; ᅟᅟSabbakosamūlabandhanā pamutto, kusalo tādi pavuccate tathattā. ᅟᅟ531. ᅟᅟ‘‘Dubhayāni viceyya paṇḍarāni, ajjhattaṃ bahiddhā ca suddhipañño; ᅟᅟKaṇhaṃ sukkaṃ upātivatto, paṇḍito tādi pavuccate tathattā. ᅟᅟ532. ᅟᅟ‘‘Asatañca satañca ñatvā dhammaṃ, ajjhattaṃ bahiddhā ca sabbaloke; ᅟᅟDevamanussehi pūjanīyo, saṅgaṃ jālamaticca so munī’’ti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako…pe… bhagavantaṃ uttariṃ pañhaṃ apucchi – ᅟᅟ533. ᅟᅟ‘‘Kiṃ pattinamāhu vedaguṃ, (iti sabhiyo) ᅟᅟAnuviditaṃ kena kathañca vīriyavāti; ᅟᅟĀjāniyo kinti nāma hoti, ᅟᅟPuṭṭho me bhagavā byākarohi’’. ᅟᅟ534. ᅟᅟ‘‘Vedāni viceyya kevalāni, (sabhiyāti bhagavā) ᅟᅟSamaṇānaṃ yānidhatthi [yānipatthi (sī. syā. pī.)] brāhmaṇānaṃ; ᅟᅟSabbavedanāsu vītarāgo, ᅟᅟSabbaṃ vedamaticca vedagū so. ᅟᅟ535. ᅟᅟ‘‘Anuvicca papañcanāmarūpaṃ, ajjhattaṃ bahiddhā ca rogamūlaṃ; ᅟᅟSabbarogamūlabandhanā pamutto, anuvidito tādi pavuccate tathattā. ᅟᅟ536. ᅟᅟ‘‘Virato idha sabbapāpakehi, nirayadukkhaṃ aticca vīriyavā so; ᅟᅟSo vīriyavā padhānavā, dhīro tādi pavuccate tathattā. ᅟᅟ537. ᅟᅟ‘‘Yassassu lunāni bandhanāni, ajjhattaṃ bahiddhā ca saṅgamūlaṃ; ᅟᅟSaññaṃ tividhaṃ panujja paṅkaṃ, kappaṃ neti tamāhu ariyoti. ᅟᅟ541. ᅟᅟ‘‘Yo idha caraṇesu pattipatto, kusalo sabbadā ājānāti [ājāni (syā.)] dhammaṃ; ᅟᅟSabbattha na sajjati vimuttacitto [vimutto (sī.)], paṭighā yassa na santi caraṇavā so. ᅟᅟ542. ᅟᅟ‘‘Dukkhavepakkaṃ yadatthi kammaṃ, uddhamadho tiriyaṃ vāpi [tiriyañcāpi (syā.)] majjhe; ᅟᅟParibbājayitvā pariññacārī, māyaṃ mānamathopi lobhakodhaṃ; ᅟᅟPariyantamakāsi nāmarūpaṃ, taṃ paribbājakamāhu pattipatta’’nti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako bhagavato bhāsitaṃ abhinanditvā anumoditvā attamano pamudito udaggo pītisomanassajāto uṭṭhāyāsanā ekaṃsaṃ uttarāsaṅgaṃ karitvā yena bhagavā tenañjaliṃ paṇāmetvā bhagavantaṃ sammukhā sāruppāhi gāthāhi abhitthavi – ᅟᅟ543. ᅟᅟ‘‘Yāni ca tīṇi yāni ca saṭṭhi, samaṇappavādasitāni [samaṇappavādanissitāni (syā. ka.)] bhūripañña; ᅟᅟSaññakkharasaññanissitāni, osaraṇāni vineyya oghatamagā. ᅟᅟ544. ᅟᅟ‘‘Antagūsi pāragū [pāragūsi (syā. pī. ka.)] dukkhassa, arahāsi sammāsambuddho khīṇāsavaṃ taṃ maññe; ᅟᅟJutimā mutimā pahūtapañño, dukkhassantakaraṃ atāresi maṃ. ᅟᅟ545. ᅟᅟ‘‘Yaṃ me kaṅkhitamaññāsi, vicikicchā maṃ tārayi namo te; ᅟᅟMuni monapathesu pattipatta, akhila ādiccabandhu soratosi. ᅟᅟ546. ᅟᅟ‘‘Yā me kaṅkhā pure āsi, taṃ me byākāsi cakkhumā; ᅟᅟAddhā munīsi sambuddho, natthi nīvaraṇā tava. ᅟᅟ547. ᅟᅟ‘‘Upāyāsā ca te sabbe, viddhastā vinaḷīkatā; ᅟᅟSītibhūto damappatto, dhitimā saccanikkamo. ᅟᅟ548. ᅟᅟ‘‘Tassa te nāganāgassa, mahāvīrassa bhāsato; ᅟᅟSabbe devānumodanti, ubho nāradapabbatā. ᅟᅟ549. ᅟᅟ‘‘Namo te purisājañña, namo te purisuttama; ᅟᅟSadevakasmiṃ lokasmiṃ, natthi te paṭipuggalo. ᅟᅟ550. ᅟᅟ‘‘Tuvaṃ buddho tuvaṃ satthā, tuvaṃ mārābhibhū muni; ᅟᅟTuvaṃ anusaye chetvā, tiṇṇo tāresi maṃ pajaṃ. ᅟᅟ551. ᅟᅟ‘‘Upadhī te samatikkantā, āsavā te padālitā; ᅟᅟSīhosi anupādāno, pahīnabhayabheravo. ᅟᅟ552. ᅟᅟ‘‘Puṇḍarīkaṃ yathā vaggu, toye na upalimpati [toyena na upalippati (sī.), toye na upalippati (pī.), toyena na upalimpati (ka.)]; ᅟᅟEvaṃ puññe ca pāpe ca, ubhaye tvaṃ na limpasi; ᅟᅟPāde vīra pasārehi, sabhiyo vandati satthuno’’ti. ᅟᅟAtha kho sabhiyo paribbājako bhagavato pādesu sirasā nipatitvā bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘abhikkantaṃ, bhante…pe… esāhaṃ bhagavantaṃ saraṇaṃ gacchāmi dhammañca bhikkhusaṅghañca; labheyyāhaṃ, bhante, bhagavato santike pabbajjaṃ, labheyyaṃ upasampada’’nti . ᅟᅟ‘‘Yo kho, sabhiya, aññatitthiyapubbo imasmiṃ dhammavinaye ākaṅkhati pabbajjaṃ, ākaṅkhati upasampadaṃ, so cattāro māse parivasati; catunnaṃ māsānaṃ accayena āraddhacittā bhikkhū pabbājenti, upasampādenti bhikkhubhāvāya. Api ca mettha puggalavemattatā viditā’’ti. ᅟᅟ‘‘Sace, bhante, aññatitthiyapubbā imasmiṃ dhammavinaye ākaṅkhantā pabbajjaṃ, ākaṅkhantā upasampadaṃ cattāro māse parivasanti, catunnaṃ māsānaṃ accayena āraddhacittā bhikkhū pabbājenti, upasampādenti bhikkhubhāvāya, ahaṃ cattāri vassāni parivasissāmi; catunnaṃ vassānaṃ accayena āraddhacittā bhikkhū pabbājentu upasampādentu bhikkhubhāvāyā’’ti.
